Best of luck to everyone heading down to Wembley this weekend.
For those of you old enough to remember the last iconic FA Cup run to the 1986/87 quarter finals, you may be interested in a signed ball that one of our clients has asked us to auction in aid of charity.
The client was given the ball when his company sponsored the game against Blackpool that season, and features the signatures from Ray Mathias and 16 members of the squad that was eventually knocked out by Leeds.
Though the signatures have faded over time, they’re still visible, and the ball itself (a Deko Derby Star with a full-colour printed Latics logo) is a great nostalgic item in its own right, and is in great condition for its age – though it does need re-inflating if you’ve got a pump!
The proceeds are all being donated to Galloways Society for the Blind in Penwortham, and the auction ends at 3.16pm on Sunday.
