spot on mr whelan. he has to sack him really but he said when he signed marlon that he didnt think he was really driven to be a pro footballer which seems daft as we payed £5m for him.
we dont want any player bringing the name of this club down and he deserved what he got.
on another topic the club have started some advertising in leigh :O
30 October 2009 at 3:00 am #11478Doubley daft since he is (was) reputed to be on £40k per week.
30 October 2009 at 10:11 am #11480Not often I say this, “Well done Uncle Dave”
Nasty piece of work & we would of been stuck with him as no fooker wants him & saving £40K a week in the process.
See on SSN that his agent is going to appeal against the sentence & the sacking!
His gravy train has left the station!
30 October 2009 at 11:26 am #11481I cant believe that waste of space was on £2080000 a year……

He sanctioned the signing of King because his manager, Steve Bruce, wanted to buy him.
One more in the eye for the “Whelan decides who comes and goes at this club” brigade.
30 October 2009 at 1:00 pm #11483It is all so obviously untrue – you can tell from the penultimate paragraph from report below.

Can’t tell whether you are being sarky or not. You mean this paragraph?:
“As the sentence was read out, several of King’s supporters stormed from court swearing at the judge.”

30 October 2009 at 4:26 pm #11507His agent just bin on SSN sticking up for him. He sounds like a t.o.s.s.e.r aswell, the presenter said “people can understand a second chance but you surely can’t expect him to get a 14th chance, can you?” agent replies in an arrogant attitude with smarmy face ” erm he has not been in jail 14 times and why should he not be given another chance, if someone is willing to employ him” He also went on to say that wigan signed him to keep them up and that he scored goals for wigan which did help them keep them up but no-one talks about that.
It was quite along interview and i didn’t agree with one thing he said.
I think his name was finnigan, was that not the dukes agent, i can’t remember.30 October 2009 at 8:42 pm #11524I thought he only scored once for us – and that was a pen
