looking at the Latics team that played at Northwich Vics, “A Trialist” was an unused sub! :woohoo:
The kid looked out of his depth to the rest of the lads who were bench warming.
Whilst they sat upright with their feet firmly on the floor, he had an awkward slouchy posture with legs crossed. His hair wasn’t styled to the current trend of side parting and swished over his brow. His tracky bottoms were a disgrace, obviously never seen a box of Daz in their lives, whilst his top, well it was on back to front!
He only warmed up the once during the game whilst the other lads were up and down like a fiddlers elbow every few minutes.All in all a terrible trial for the boy, I’m sure he’s blown his chances of joining our club. :dry:

What a journey!Actually “A Trialist” played at Ashton the other night, so he’s likely to be an Under 18. He may have been included in the squad of the under 21 team on Saturday to see if he could get a bit of match time if the score suited, but obviously it didn’t, so he stayed on the bench.
I suspect he’s had more of a trial than just sitting on the bench at Witton or wherever it was. Or maybe he was just rubbush at Ashton – I don’t remember anyone in particular showing much promise tbh besides the keeper who I believe played on Saturday, Marosi, and a guy called Jennings, who seemed to play a sort of attacking midfield role.
