Not fairing too well in the transfer window again. :woohoo:
Lost one of prize assets in MF, failed to bring in Fernando, McCarthy and just now Lukaku choosing a loan move to WBA over the toffees.
Ah well, he’s still got the Steve McMillan of the centre half world Antolin Alcaraz and his sharp shooter Arouna Kone to get them champions league football.
You deserve all you get mate. :P
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!3 September 2013 at 2:48 am #1204193 September 2013 at 2:53 am #120422Everton are willing to match whelans valuation. Their move for lukaku might go ahead as well.
3 September 2013 at 3:08 am #120431McCarthy gone! That leaves us with eleven midfield players – we should manage.
And did we sign Powell too?
But we’re already down to just one of two experienced forwards. That’s worrying.
3 September 2013 at 3:17 am #120437Huge gamble by Martinez. He has moved to a top 6 side and signed 4 players from a team that were relegated under him. With no win in his first 3 games and Chelsea up next he could put himself under huge pressure over the coming months. Will watch with interest.

You look a bit daft now, don’t you?
Widely regarded by most of the pundits I listened to as a half-decent window for Everton.

Is it Barry Chuckle?
3 September 2013 at 5:13 pm #120502Maybe Martinez feels he owes Gareth Barry a debt of gratitude for the part he played in helping us win the FA Cup.

6 September 2013 at 11:22 pm #120707Don`t think this thread went the way JR planned.
Maybe that`s why he has avoided it.
He was better when he was writing letters to the Observers letter page.Should have stuck to that

Eh? never wrote a letter to the Obby in my life sunshine. Had a spell at writing a weekly column for the WEP, but never the Obby.
Look boys and girls, at the time I started this thread, nothing was going Bobby’s way and because Fellini took it on himself to hand in a transfer request and lose a loads of money in the process, it allowed Martinez to give Big Dave what he wanted for Jimmy thy.
Some people on here seem to get more satisfaction pulling up other Latics fans for what they post, than venting anger at the manager who relegated us then feked off. I’m saying this for the last time now, if he had given us one season, just one season to try and get us back to the prem, then failed or not I would have patted him on the back and said thanks for trying. I was always and will always be a lightsider, basically because I love my club and IMHO I think Bobby has shat on us big time.
So there you have it knob dastardly, perhaps this post may make the front page of the Beano. :PFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!7 September 2013 at 3:58 pm #120743I think that I may visit Goodison this season to see how our old boys are getting on.
Martinez and staff
Baines, Robles, Alcaraz, McCarthy, Kone – it would be nice to see them playing on the field rather than sitting on the bench.
They have four cup winners there. I wonder how they will approach the cup this year. I’m sure they would like to do it again.
