I sincerely hope that when he does make his debut none of the ballboys come out carrying towels.
That truly would be a dark dark day. :(
He’s essentially a right back who is prepared to go forward.
He has played at centre back and right midfield, and even centre forward.
He took over the long throws from Rory Delap, but he has more to his game than that.
Seems Coyle likes utility players, Perch & Shotton at least seem able to play virtually anywhere which could be handy with the teams gruelling schedule .
Just seen his first interview on Latics player. He has said that his aim is to establish himself as a centre half and that’s what OC has brought him in to do. He said that Stoke moved him around to suit the team not the player and that has hindered his progression. Showed clips of him in training today and he looks a big strong lad with a decent turn of foot. :)
