The guy has achieved all this without spending multi millions like other clubs and has seen his club have remarkable success.
Just coz he wont satisfy some on here by offering and paying stupid money for over rated players he is suddenly the Anti-Christ.

You usually find that those who are the most vocal in their opposition to/hatred of Whelan are those that have worked for, and subsequently been sacked/laid off from, one of his companies.
you are spot on griff why most people hate whelan but in my case completely way off
i worked for whelan and enjoyed my time doing so
i might call whelan a 2hat but does not mean i hate the guy
when you work ten years for a guy like whelan you get to know alll about
the person
