Well the most i have been entertained since Wembley cup final. The action on the pitch was real hearts in the mouth stuff, We where simply outstanding for the first 30 minutes, Then we let our six finger friends from yon village of Horwich play. I feel so positive about the future again and refreshing to see UWE stood on touchline for 95 minutes with total outlay of passion and control. Great standing ovation from joe public at full time and UWE was quick to show how he values team spirit and fans support by engaging with all 3 stands. Well that was the on pitch entertainment, now to the off pitch entertainment which was in the south stand just behind the goals. The guy in the baseball cap really did lose the plot and ultimately his place in the ground for the last 10 minutes. Why abuse a steward who was only doing his job, Why use foul language in a stand full of kids, Why do others side with idiots who show aggression to others with no respect for others around them. The guy had kids with him and should have known better. Well thanks UWE, The wigan team and the stewards/cap man for a fully entertaining sunday afternoon.

Well thanks UWE, The wigan team and the stewards/cap man for a fully entertaining sunday afternoon.I suggest you refrain from making comment when you don’t have a clue what went on, that idiot of a steward 222 caused the problem then told his superiors lies to back track, he steamed into the bloke with the ‘baseball cap’ and told him to sit down as he was blocking view of the lad behind him, who just happens to be a mate of is and are part of a large group of blokes, youths and kids who sit there every week.
The idiot stewards not only removed the baseball capped bloke but also the lad sat behind him for protesting on his behalf, no wonder others got involved.
15 December 2013 at 11:39 pm #124852Thanks for your comments, But i was right next to the incident and could hear and see all that went on. Yes the steward did confront the cap man, and yes he did ask him to sit down, and yes he did call for back up when he was abused verbally and cap man moved towards him in an aggressive manner, but would you tolerate a cap man going face to face with you, swearing at you and intimidating you so that you feel threatened.Well i thought not. Let me put this to you loud mouth blue, Would cap man have reacted in this way to a serving police officer, thought not. If you think the steward fabricated the information to his boss then make a complaint. I feel you will be in the minority who side with cap man.WELL DONE STEWARDS.

16 December 2013 at 12:04 am #124857There was trouble near the brick. Had the unpleasantness of trying to drive it with my 8 year old son who i’ve never seen as scared in his short life.

It WAS people complaining about the steward who started it, the lad who was supposed to be affected by not being able to se was removed for telling the rest of the stewards what happened, you choose to ignore this fact.May I ask your motives for opening this thread “Trouble in south stand” when in fact it was a trivial incident blown out of proportion by gobshites in fluorescent jackets and you.
16 December 2013 at 12:21 am #124861I didn’t notice any trouble in The South Stand. Must have been an enthralling game.
I suppose he got thrown out for not sitting down? A hanging offence in my view (pun intended).
