most definitely not when the FA cup is seen as a nuisance and could easily do without it.
That will go down very well with his trophy starved fans who pay very good money in the hope that his team actually win one !
I also hear that West ham are going to play reserves in both the FA cup and the League cup semi final because of the fear of losing their premier league place?????
I always though relegation occurred in April or May but if this is the sort if nonsense occurring just because of the fear of losing TV money then I’m glad we are out of it-
The FA cup win in May is the greatest ever day watching Latics for me and worth those eight years in the premier league !3 January 2014 at 11:12 pm #125650Do I miss it?
No.
4 January 2014 at 12:05 am #125652Main thing I miss is the TV coverage. Knowing we would be on Sky highlights for an hour (and once a season game of the day), whereas now to see the goals it’s watching SSN for ages just in case.

But, that said, I ain’t missing it at all. Great to be going to games with expectations of winning again.
That said, I do hope we get promoted this year :)4 January 2014 at 1:58 am #125657I love how the games come thick & fast, love the unpredictability of the league how anyone can beat anyone, love watching games again with a smile on my face & have a renewed passion for going to games again as every game is exciting, there is no corruption in the championship compared to the premier. So do i miss the premier league – a resounding NO!!
4 January 2014 at 3:15 am #125663No I don’t !!!!!

4 January 2014 at 5:32 am #125671I miss the Premiership as I have been living in NSW for the last 14 Months and now I struggle to see any games :(
4 January 2014 at 3:32 pm #125674I bet you wish you were struggling to see any cricket !!
Are the locals making the odd mention of it. ?
I persevered last night until they were 24-5 and stormed to bed sulking. As for today I’m looking forward to a Cup match for the first time in years, freed from the Premier League disregard for the early cup rounds especially.
I’m really enjoying this season but ultimately hoping we somehow sneak into a promotion position…. Taking us straight back to the ‘purgatory’ from which we’ve just escaped……Odd eh ?
5 January 2014 at 12:10 pm #125687Miss the premises no, but give it 2 yearsI and the parachute payments go, then see the player quality go.

Been coming for a while, the Board having exercised a surprisingly high degree of patience ‘relatively-speaking’ (I’d have put my money on him going sooner than AVB and Mackay some weeks back), but I think the writing may well now be on the wall (particularly, when he can’t control best-loved player, Nolan), Fat Sam /P45 …
