Nice one jordi. Fair to say the three subs saved the day.
1 February 2014 at 9:48 pm #126643When I saw him and Ben Watson standing over the ball at the free kick I was hoping and praying that Jordi would take it even though it was on the wrong side for a left footer.
The only thing I can say about that result is “JUSTICE WAS DONE!”
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!1 February 2014 at 10:18 pm #126646When people on the outside see the match stats they will wonder why we struggled

Prior to the 3 changes we didn’t look like scoring.
Two moments of magic won it for us.
A great threaded through ball and a great free kick.
God bless the super subs.
Gomez sprinted off rather quickly at the end though which was a bit strange !! :(

The only thing that is strange is that Jordi didn’t do a lap of the pitch telling everyone to fuck off because, if I was him, that’s what I’d do.
I see the East Stand Creche finally started to sing a song for him today… fickle, know-nowt twats!
1 February 2014 at 10:42 pm #126661He didn’t go straight off he hung around on the touchline for a minute

And right. As ever ;)
1 February 2014 at 11:47 pm #126680Jordi looked sharp as soon as he came on before the free kick.
McClean had another good game I thought.
Charlton were hardly out of their own half apart from when they scored and hit the bar. Defeat today would have been a travesty…but then again, the scoreboard doesn’t lie.
Serves them right all those who left at 0-1…today was a classic for keeping the faith to the end :cheer:
2 February 2014 at 12:36 am #126683Did anyone from the BBC actually attend the game?
‘…Gomez helped Wigan snatch victory over Charlton’
Even just looking at the stats would suggest this wasn’t a snatched’ win.

Well done lad.

That’s the key word.

THEM AJORITY YES, BUT NOT ALL OF US … GOOD ON YER, JORDI
2 February 2014 at 1:40 am #126691Had a feeling we would win today even though the kitchen sink approach didn’t seem to be working at all today.
Sheer graft and desire from the likes of McLean who has an unbelievable never say die approach that drove the others on another filthy afternoon weather wise.
The people that left early missed one of the best finishes to a game I have seen for many a year and it could be a very interesting run in. -
