Seen some good players and seen some great players but also seen some garbage at Springfield and New Springfield but for natural ability and outright class this lad takes some beating.
If Moses and Valencia and co were worth what they were then Callum is worth far more so when we sell him in January or next summer let us just hope we get the right money.3 September 2014 at 1:33 pm #133370He does seem to play in fits and starts though. One minute he is flummoxing some hapless defender the next he is leaning forward, hands on knees gasping for breath! I have seen him wave away a possible pass from a teammate because he is goosed from a passage of play! Other times you see him struggling back onside, wincing as he ambles back! Great player but his fitness does appear to be below par somewhat!

3 September 2014 at 4:55 pm #133377Gotta agree, if his fitness levels were to improve then he’d have no problem stepping up to the mark ,he always starts to flag around the 60 minute mark.
Certain players just can’t seem to keep up with the play in the latter stages of a game and chasing down so called lost causes and to McManaman seems to be one of those type of players.
It doesn’t make him a bad player it just hinders him from moving on to bigger and better things like a big money move.
3 September 2014 at 5:36 pm #133378I was told at the weekend he pops a tablet on the touchline around the 60 min mark for cramp or something. Can’t say I’ve ever seen it.
3 September 2014 at 7:44 pm #133380Cramp is easily remedied, keep hydrated , That tablet might be caffeine

Can’t say I’ve ever seen it.We noticed him taking on board some sort of liquid out of a sachet twice on Saturday, one in front of the East Stand during the first half and another in front of the West Stand in the second half!
4 September 2014 at 12:57 pm #133387He could have been thirsty
