Latics have a large squad of first team squad players. Too many of this squad need to be playing regular football. Why not play any available first team squad player who is not playing for the first team play for the development squad ie a reserve team getting regular games. Seems to make sense.

What about the poor Development squad players, who would then never get any game time and therefore, would never develop? :blink:
