Read a text this morning that my lad sent me yesterday about 5:15pm. Don’t know why I hadn’t read it last night, must have been drunk on adrenalin after our win. I was certainly rat legged about 1:00am this morning.
It says…
“Well it looks like McClean played superb when he came on, even scoring 2 goals. Think he’s definitely earned himself a place out the starting 11 next week”

He didn’t look too happy to be taken off.
7 November 2014 at 4:43 pm #135088UWE Rosler has spoken of his delight at being able to call on the services of in-form Latics winger James McClean at Bolton tonight.
The televised clash at the Macron Stadium will see both sides sporting poppies on the front of their shirts to commemorate Remembrance Sunday this weekend.
In the past, McClean – who was brought up on the Creggan Estate in Derry – has elected not to wear a poppy-emblazoned shirt.
But Rosler says the 25-year-old will definitely be part of his plans for a massive game at the foot of the Championship.
“Of course he will be involved, I can categorically say he is in the 18-man squad,” the Wigan boss said.
“There has been a talk between the player and the chairman and they came to a compromise that both parties are very happy with.
“I am a football coach, I am a manager who selects the players who are available and James McClean is available.
“We have to respect all views. For me, the most important thing is that I don’t lose a player for issues with nothing to do with football.
“James has addressed that whole issue in a very mature way.
“And from that point I’m very happy to announce James McClean is definitely involved.”
The game, however, looks to have come too soon for skipper Emmerson Boyce, who has been battling an ankle injury picked up against Nottingham Forest on September 30.
“We have been without Boycey for five or six weeks now,” added Rosler.
“This is a player who played 41 games for me last season, of which we won 20 of them.
“That speaks volumes, and it shows you how important he is for us and we have missed him.
“You do not achieve such statistics without being a key player. We were hoping he would be back earlier than this, but sometimes injuries need time to heal.
“Boycey needs to make sure he is mentally and physically ready to step into the first XI, because he sets such high standards for himself.”
Striker Andy Delort will also be absent with a back problem picked up in training.
“Andy was due to start at Brighton on Tuesday, but after training on Sunday I was told he would not be able to travel,” said Rosler.
“He has not trained since and he will not be involved on Friday.”
Meanwhile, Maynor Figueroa has extended his loan with Latics until the end of the year.
The Honduran returned to Wigan last month on a one-month emergency from Hull.
And all three parties have agreed to extend the arrangement after the defender slotted seamlessly back in to life at the DW.

7 November 2014 at 10:52 pm #135117“There has been a talk between the player and the chairman and they came to a compromise that both parties are very happy with. That indicates that last year’s absence due to a “Dead Leg” was complete hoop. The lad needs a history lesson on what the poppy really represents. Hopefully Uncle Dave has taken him to the Tower of London on the way back from Brighton.
7 November 2014 at 11:46 pm #135120Explanation, and agreement reached with the club.
If the club are happy, then so am I.
