…just picked up a few leaflets that have been posted through my door, me thinking they were for kebab shops, pitzza places etc just put them on our paper pile for blue binning.
Suddenly noticed that one is from PNE, promoting hospitality for this Saturdays FA Cup match against Norwich on one side and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area final against Walsall on the other.
WTF…

1 January 2015 at 10:35 pm #137614Reasonable marketing – outside the normal catchment area.
Maybe we leaflet in Preston, I don’t know. No good leafleting in Wigan. People here have already made up their minds, for or against.

What a journey!2 January 2015 at 5:42 am #137629Well done PNE marketing. Doing their job. I didn’t even know Tuesdays match was a tenner till I heard officer a Wednesday fan walking down to the ground. Then we find ticket offices are not even open. Ten thousand empty seats and potential new fans miss the kick off. Top Latics marketing as ever.

2 January 2015 at 9:45 pm #137672The so called ‘fans’ who decided on a whim to attend Tuesday’s game and then got stuck outside – TOUGH!
they only had a couple of weeks to get a bloody ticket and decided at the last minute to turn up only because they were sick of watching reruns of ‘Holiday on the Buses ‘ and ‘ Carry on Regardless’ .
a little mental list is being made of all the part time tossers who have deserted the club when things have cut up rough and I expect to see them back in a few weeks when the recovery in form begins.
As for PNE it sounds like a marketing company blip that happens from time to time, doubt there will be any takers.2 January 2015 at 10:57 pm #137679Sorry Griff if you read the comment it was congratulating the Nob End marketing department for doing what they are meant to be doing not congratulating Nob End. Why don’t you Piss off and start watching Bolton you would fit in well there.

Why don’t you Piss off and start watching Bolton you would fit in well there. Why’s that? Do they support their team and club rather than moan like fuck about absolutely everything they do? In which case, yes, I would.
2 January 2015 at 11:57 pm #137690Talking about our friends from over the hill they were very crafty in my opinion when they built that spiders web on the edges of our town ( closer to the centre of Wigan than their own town)and you can see from all the cars all lined up when they play at home the impact that had.
I have no beef with the Wiganers concerned however I know of a Wiganer who who has a sign with Burnden Park on his back gate and his home was very near one of our livelier public houses after home games.
A brave lad3 January 2015 at 2:52 am #137703Perhaps they thought that some Wigan fans might fancy watching Norwich again! They do have an eye catching strip!
