What an absolute joy to see a player show passion, guts, enthusiasm, fight and a willingness to die for his shirt. I have been the first to criticise some of this fellas play in the past and Malkys idea of playing him out of position but if a player shows that much athletisism and commitment he is worth two of any other player. Granted he could have gone for that foul but with a few more players playing with his attitude would make us safe easily. Well done James.

Well done James.Spot on Donny, much preferred his play last season as well rather than that lazy jan Bo. He has stepped up a gear for Malkay it would appear.

22 January 2015 at 12:53 pm #138519i dont rate him or like him……Me neither, but his attitude can’t be criticised. If the other players seemed to care as much then we might not be in this position.
22 January 2015 at 2:45 pm #138526He is like the kid at school who was hardly ever on the team sheet but when he did get his chance ran around like a lad possessed trying too hard! He has a sending off challenge in him most games due to being too highly strung! Went for the ‘Hollywood Finish’ on Saturday at 1-1 when he had options either side of him which prompted a comment from someone sat next to me…”That lad is starting to believe his own hype” One player shouldn’t have to be putting in all the effort himself, it should be a team effort! He will more than likely be a religious man and so “God does love a trier” !
23 January 2015 at 5:04 pm #138561Very harsh. He’s a better player than he appears to being given credit for here.

I actually think he’s not a bad centre forward and can understand why Mackay plays him there.
He’s scored a couple of decent goals recently, and on Saturday I thought he worked hard, got quite a few shots on goal, gots up well and mad some decent flicks on, and puts defenders under pressure.

I also agree with that. He’s like one of those players who you hated playing against in Ammy football, doesn’t stop running at you with the ball even if you’ve tackled him a few times. :woohoo:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 January 2015 at 1:55 pm #138587I would like to see him wide with someone else on the other side and a centre forward in the middle. Can’t fault him on the pitch at the moment. With all the attention focusing on the comings and goings of midfielders and forwards it has only masked were real problem lies,
the inability to do basic defending as team. Everytime the ball goes into our box your on pins waiting for a basic mistake to happen, and lately it does. We look very shabby at the back
