If Dave Whelan reads some of the comments on here, and sued everyone for damages like this mon, we could have a large war chest for our League One campaign after all.
I think he may have had other things on his mind lately and to be honest I don’t think you can put the 2 in the same bracket.
He is not suing about factual statements but for comments made about his financial dealings which are unproven.
Brackets tend to be fairly similarly constructed, even if not exactly the same.
So could Dave take Vincent Tan to the cleaners ?I think he probably could. But taking legal action is very often the last resort, and sometimes ignoring things is a better option. Which is Oyston’s situation that in my opinion he appears actually to be making things worse.

Very dangerous course of action taking people to court for slander or libel. That’s why it’s generally the preoccupation of the rich who can become considerably less rich should they lose.
It has to be a matter of time before the oystens leave that club surely? Taking fans to court Shias to be the final nail so to speak..
