Anyone? Didn’t see anyone stand out at all. Two strikers is great but with two shocking displays by the wingers and equal ineptness from the other midfielders the strikers didn’t stand much chance relying on their own lack lustre approach. Defence ripped apart and keeper not too bright. So that leaves no out and out starman.Ratings out of ten then? All ones and that is on the generous side. Why has Whelan let this disaster happen??

Why has Whelan let this disaster happen??I did it was a midfielder who goes by the name of Kim. Looked a class above, kept hold of the ball well, ok a few passes went astray, but for commitment, endeavor, will to get the ball moving forward, he was by far the best player on show out of the 20 odd who featured. :cheer:

What a journey!21 February 2015 at 3:25 am #139685Bit bad really when the only notable applause of the evening was for Garcia ! I wish him well in his fight and hope he makes a full recovery! That lot out there on the pitch tonight deserve nothing!
21 February 2015 at 3:28 am #139687I agree, Kim Bo-kyung stood out for me. he tried his damndest to keep hold of the ball in a nonexistent midfield area.
McCann was as poor as I have seen a player perform with a Latics shirt on. Came on and offered nothing, if you walked into work and did your job like him you’d be fooking sacked on the spot the lazy get.Oh nearly forgot the guy doing the commentary on the EA Sport FIFA stand did a cracking job, he should put in for Collymore’s job
21 February 2015 at 3:30 am #139689Kim??? It is strange how we all see things differently. Many I spoke to thought he had a stinker.

21 February 2015 at 3:33 am #139693He was average, king among shits if you will!

He reminds me of a very poor Jordi Gomez.21 February 2015 at 12:42 pm #139709Officially it was the black Bart Simpson on the wing. Why who knows? The young fella was totally out of his depth. I suppose the effort was there but playing in the Champioship on a marsh against long time professional defenders is just a step too far yet for the lad. Did he get one cross in to the strikers?
Playing on the pristine surfaces of Premier League set ups is a lot different than playing on a mire rivalling Bloomfield for standard. Our training pitches are in better condition than that bog. Would be interesting to see him play on a professional sports surface or alternatively swap his boots for a pair of ankle wellies.21 February 2015 at 2:16 pm #139722Anyone? Ours is like a paddy field. I suppose it’s like everything to do with WAFC at the moment, a disgrace. That said, we can’t use it as an excuse, the opposition still manage to play alright on it and kick our arses week in week out.
21 February 2015 at 2:24 pm #139725Just to confirm if you didn’t already know, the Bloomfield Rd pitch is being relaid and will be ready for the Wigan game.
