Just got some rugby programme on the beeb on, commentator says a full, house here at the DW, then says hardly a seat to be had ?
7 April 2015 at 12:35 pm #140902For rugby games the North & South stands are unreserved seating, which slightly reduces the capacity. Also there are a few seats in ES1 that cant be used because of the large screen sky put up in that corner.
You forgot to mention who won. You also forgot to mention that the crowd was 24054.
Try discussing why a 3pm kick off on a wet good Friday and a 3pm kick off on a sunny Easter Monday had almost 10,000 difference.
7 April 2015 at 2:53 pm #140910Your first paragraph answered the question. Your second and third were just pointless.

How was your Easter Monday? Was it as good as ours? :P
7 April 2015 at 4:03 pm #140923You cant have everything in life – a win on Fri and Sunday for my teams against their deadliest rivals made a defeat to Salford pretty easy to swallow.
I did spare a slight thought for those Saints fans on this board who had four defeats in four days to stomach. I hope their Easter Eggs tasted good!
When will the bookies be giving you your winnings?

7 April 2015 at 4:08 pm #140925Biggest game of their season and only £10 to get on.
7 April 2015 at 4:37 pm #140927Maybe you should try it to fill the ground…
…hang on, you have, and it still didn’t work.

With the weather being so bad but stil getting a good turnout, there shouldn’t be any reason why Wigan RL’s next homegame isn’t a sell out.

Have you seen the next home fixture? Be lucky if there’s 12000 on. NO away fans whatsoever except probably the bloke from London who supports Catalans.

9 April 2015 at 12:39 am #141044There’s a simple reason to explain why their next crowd wont be 24,00….to use a football chant to sum up why 10,000 Wiganers will be missing compared to last Friday “You’re only here cos its St Helens”
9 April 2015 at 1:51 am #141052There’s a simple reason to explain why their next crowd wont be 24,00….to use a football chant to sum up why 10,000 Wiganers will be missing compared to last Friday “You’re only here cos its St Helens”Exactly. The 11000 core, 6000 away fans and some daytrippers. There’ll be around 18000 against Warrington, but most games are just your hardcore plus say 1000 away fans top (the average is 950 I believe) and a few walk ons.
Latics crowds work exactly the same way as do most clubs.
