Leeds United have appointed Uwe Rosler as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
Rosler becomes the fifth head coach at Elland Road in just over 12 months, following in the wake of Brian McDermott. Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic and, most recently, Neil Redfearn.
The German has been out of work since he was dismissed by Wigan Athletic last November after a poor start to the 2014/15 season.
I will be interested in what formation he adopts there. He was a 4-4-2 man at Brentford yet changed when he came here. If he thinks it was demanding at Wigan then he is in for a shock next season.
He may have learnt the lessons from his time here from the ups and the downs. You’ve got to admit that was a cracking end to his first season.
Leopard and spots and all that, but if he can contain his arrogance and single bloody minded approach to the players then he may have turned a corner.
Or the corner may be at the end of the corridor leading to the exit door.
I also wish him well, thought he needed a little longer here. Don’t think we would have gone down if we had kept him.
