Not bad seasons for failures.
Many fans wouldn’t mind their clubs to have a season so bad as these two clubs.With the financial clout they have they have had very poor seasons. Other than the League Cup win (a competition for Reserve teams) and the FA Cup (even WE won that!) all the other things you quote are failures.
With four major trophies in a season how can winning one of those be seen as failure? Neither of the two clubs are currently in the class of Barca, Real or Bayern so no surprises there which leaves 3 trophies (2 of which they have won).
Exactly Roy in many people’s eyes they have both had decent seasons both winning trophies and qualifying for Europe.
It is only the expectations of some of their investors and fans that see them as failures.
