I see Gareth Southgate has gone for enough to beat Scotland (I hope) but maybe a bit of an experiment against Spain.

I am still not convinced with Clyne or Stones and Cahill and Jakielka can make things hard for themselves.
Hart is having the time of his life at the moment and getting away from City has done him a world of good.
Midfield is going to be very interesting and the strike force without Rooney, will he be brave enough to start Vardy?

I think there should be enough there to see off Scotland, though I have learned that you can’t take it for granted. Spain will be a totally different game and I think he should try out some of those players that haven’t much England time on the pitch.

Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (Torino, loan from Manchester City), Tom Heaton (Burnley), Fraser Forster (Southampton)
Defenders: Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur), Michael Keane (Burnley), Ryan Bertrand (Southampton).
Midfielders: Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Jack Wilshere (Bournemouth), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), Andros Townsend (Crystal Palace).
Strikers: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Jamie Vardy (Leicester City), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United).

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

After the last game jayt I can’t see England winning it. I hope I’m wrong and we embarrass the heathens but to me its gonna be same old same old. Southgate will probably go with the tried and trusted.

Not arsed at all. Iceland the last straw. It is just a nuisance that fooks up the domestic season. Should be midweek with no league cancellations. It’s shit!

As I said same old same old, Rooney captain Henderson will play possibly Wilshire. We never learn. Scotland cannot handle pace so don’t be surprised if its similar to Slovenia and we play at snails pace and allow them to press. Most experts saying the sweaties cannot win but I for one wouldn’t be shocked if they did.

The big difference will be how much their players are ‘up for it’ compared to ours. I fancy us to win the game but it won’t be the walkover it probably should be.

Oh they will be up for it egg but I just don’t see Southgate allowing the England players off the leash to really go after them and overun em. We will be stereotypical and build slow and pass the living shite out of the ball .

Exactly. Be a 1 or 2 nil win as opposed to the 4 or 5 it should be.

As you said he’s gone for the usual suspects, Rooney to take the ball off defence and pass sideways, a lot!!! Can’t understand why people think Southgate will make a difference.
The Scots will be up for this big time and our lot prove time & time again that they are not capable.

Stones is a liability he is obsessed with playing it backwards and he is shit at it. Defensively England are a mess and its a good job we were only playing Scotland who are worse than us.

Our defence was terrible for the first 20mins. But the difference was finishing, and ours was good. Especially Sturridge’s goal, great header.

A better team would have put two past us in the first 20mins but as the old saying goes you can only beat what’s put in front of you.

Tougher times ahead for Southgate, would love him to do well. But think he’ll be as bad as the rest come tournament time.

Got battered but won 3 nil, don’t mind that in the slightest.
