      A bit of news missed by most this week.

      Our reserves came through on penalties on Tuesday to book themselves in the central league Cup Final.

      Sam Cosgrove, Tom Powell, Shane Donaghey, Josh Gregory and James Barrigan scored from the spot as Latics won 5-3 to set up a final with Fleetwood Town – date, time and venue to be confirmed.

      The match was dominated by Latics, but they couldn’t find the killer goal in normal time, the match ended 1-1.

      Hmmm sounds familiar that

        Our reserve and youth side always seems to be pretty successful. Bodes well for the future especially if we do go down and return to the abyss.
