Heard the post journo conference dialogue, yesterday.
Another load of goody goody, do-gooder bollocks; it was now’t more than a bit cheeky banter ! OOPs, forgot; we are not allowed banter in ultra PC GB.In fact; I think the fact he said you would have got a slap if you were a fella, show that he has got respect for the female gender !!!!!
Couldn’t agree more Lostock, completely blown out of all proportion. Listen to the conversation it’s banter nothing more, these PC clowns can’t wait to be offended and don’t care if the man gets the sack just so they can have a rant.
Very funny last night at Leicester to see both sets of fans chanting “You’re getting slapped in the morning”.
It was being debated on 5Live one morning this week and I couldn’t believe the air-time it was receiving.
Firstly, it was a silly and inappropriate thing to say for someone in the media spotlight but, it was not a “threat” as some were trying to make out, it was clearly made in jest, the lady journalist to whom the comment was directed didn’t complain or take offence and later accepted Moyes’ apology.
Interestingly, the journalist involved was not included in the debate which, given it was a BBC program and she a BBC employee, speaks volumes. No doubt the BBC wishing to protect itself from a charge of double-standards should she have dared to make light of the issue.
