A side that had seven midfielders on the field and another four on the bench. A grand total of 11 midfield players in the squad of 18.
So eleven midfielders five defenders and two keepers.
Doesn’t seem very balanced does it.18 April 2017 at 3:03 am #158106Not sure about that, but I do remember going to Walsall years ago (Deehan days) and David Lowe, wearing Number 9 was the first attacking player on the park..think the line up that day had 4 centre halfs and 4 right backs.

18 April 2017 at 10:14 am #158112A touch like yesterday’s 3-7-1. I know they didn’t play in that formation but why play seven midfielders when there are strikers (young I know) right backs etc at the club.
Next year just follow one model. Keep a formation and play players in position. If there’s a suspension or injury just replace that player with a like for like player. Simple.
Since we brought in Overhyped to replace Yanick how many times as he played left wing? That’s his position. Why weaken a position?18 April 2017 at 12:06 pm #158115Not sure about that, but I do remember going to Walsall years ago (Deehan days) and David Lowe, wearing Number 9 was the first attacking player on the park..think the line up that day had 4 centre halfs and 4 right backs.I was at wolverhampton uni at the time & nipped down to that game. Remember that formation well.

I’d have liked young Luke Burke to stay fit and make the RB position his own like Baines did at LB all those years ago because he looked good at the end of the season.
