Brum can’t win a game for love or money but thanks to Huddersfield changing 10 players from previous game they can afford to have a man sent off and still cruise to a win. Seen it all before but still sticks in my throat…no integrity from Wagner as far as the importance this game meant to Forest,Wigan,Rovers but obviously loyalty lies with his club.Petty I know, but I hope they get roggered in play offs !!!
29 April 2017 at 9:01 pm #158495Can’t blame him resting players!
29 April 2017 at 9:06 pm #158496Just the same as Coco Caldwell’s approach to the last game gifting Barnsley a play off place last season.
29 April 2017 at 9:07 pm #158497We lost.
We have kept losing all season.
We can’t score for love nor money.
That’s why we are down – not because Huddersfield have rested players today.29 April 2017 at 9:14 pm #158498Bang on ther gl. ..our board need to wobble ther heads cos this season if they not learnt anything time to call it a day.
29 April 2017 at 9:14 pm #158499Wasn’t implying that’s why we down. Obviously because we’re shit…..Stelling reckons we haven’t scored in 22 of our league games…..unbelievable…Clearout please.

We’ll be back.

It does work if played correctly.

Obviously because we’re shit…..Stelling reckons we haven’t scored in 22 of our league games…..unbelievable…Clearout please. But who to? Who would want our, ahem, ‘talented squad’? I can’t see a queue forming, maybe Powell may have someone like Leeds or Preston intwrested, possibly Morsy, but apart from that, I think most clubs will consider themselves as having better anyway, given our disaster of a season.
Yet you look at our squad and for the most part, there are players there who should’ve seen us finish at least mid table to 17th place in the league, and yet we have failed to do this. 3 managers in a season, Caldwell the fraud, Joyce the dickhead, and Barrow the loyal custodian, all 3 have failed. Though to be fair, the ship was almost stern down before Barrow took the wheel.
The point is, the clubs been a joke…a bloody joke. Any momentum we had from last season was NOT used to our advantage. The pre season programme was aimed more at getting money off us (United and Liverpool friendlies) than it was preparing the squad for the season ahead. Both games were worthless…they achieved nothing with regard to how good or how bad the squad was, as we faced largely fringe sides from those two big clubs. And at the other end of the spectrum, we had games against the likes of Southport…absolute waste of time. So for me, the club prepared wrong…totally wrong. It needed the Austria training camp, where you can get 2 or 3 competitive friendlies in against sides from Germany etc. A competitive friendly where you get beat 3 nil will teach you a lot more than a 2 nil defeat in a stroll of a game against a united or Liverpool XI. I thought all along Caldwell had dropped a clanger. Should’ve had a friendly with Celtic, big crowd, more competitive, could’ve sold it to them as a prep game for their European Campaign that started early. But no. Just another cock up in a totally mismanaged season by the club. As a thought towards our prep for next season, maybe a friendly against Real Vallecano, Jordi Gomez’ club, could be an option. Forget these massive clubs…they teach us nothing, benefit us little, we’d be better playing Preston!29 April 2017 at 11:46 pm #158522Wasn’t implying that’s why we down. Wouldn’t be a bad pre-season friendly that one.
30 April 2017 at 2:39 am #158523Six pre-season friendlies at home against beatable opposition may be a good idea to build up a win and score goals mentality on our home turf.
Either that or Caldwell’s fiasco of shite last summer.30 April 2017 at 4:18 am #158524Six pre-season friendlies at home against beatable opposition may be a good idea to build up a win and score goals mentality on our home turf.
Either that or Caldwell’s fiasco of shite last summer. You agree with me that playing United and Liverpool XI’s was a waste of time, then?
This summer, a training camp in Austria, play other visiting teams like we’ve done before, usually including a Bundesliga side. Preston North End, Morecambe, Blackpool if they don’t come up, Chorley, and maybe Jordi Gomez’s Rayo Vallecano as our guests.
30 April 2017 at 12:45 pm #158525Spot on VAT.
I had forgotten about the shambles of a pre season will all that went after.
Even the Chester game was a damp squib with no fire power whatsoever on display, and surely was a sign of things to come.
Truly a complete cock up of a season stated bad and progressively worsened at least until GB brightened us slightly.
Roll on next season……surely it can’t be worse!30 April 2017 at 12:55 pm #158527Spot on VAT.

Roll on next season……surely it can’t be worse!Too many had the attitude that pre season didn’t matter…..but it clearly does. If you can’t score against non league sides, you are going to struggle. We are better off playing someone like Preston or Sheffield United and drawing or even losing a competitive game..it shows more about you as a team, and where you are at.
