      Hoping someone might be able to help …
      Wigan won the Lancashire Challenge Trophy/Lancashire Junior Cup in
      1971/72, 1973/74, 1976/77 and 1977/78

      and the Lancashire Floodlit Trophy in
      1970/71 and 1972/73

      Does anyone know opponents, scores, venues (one-legged or two-legged finals) at all ?

      Plus … was there REALLY a crowd of 6,127 for the Wigan v Ashington game on 5th Oct 1968 ?? Were there any other 6,000+ crowds between 68/69 and 77/78 (apart from the Stafford Rangers games in 1970/71 and the various FA Cup games of that era) ?

      Any info would be gratefully received.

            If anyone can point you in the direction of Jeff Rourke what he doesn’t know about Wigan Athletic’s history is not worth knowing.
