I said something very similar coming off the ground Leyland..
That said thought we started slow today. A lot of slow build up in the first half and Southend had the better clear cut chances. But they were crap so we were never really in any danger.
Although we are a decent team you have to admit the teams coming to the DW stadium this season have been utter shite. We should be wiping the floor with the likes of that shower today. Notice we are now 1-2 for the league already so bigger question may soon be is this squad strong enough for the championship?

Lets worry about that next season roy. Team spirit counts for a lot and I reckon we will do ok in the Championship next season.
It ain’t that tough a league and even with our current squad reckon we’d finish mid table.Well most of our regular starting eleven were last year’s squad and didn’t do that well last season so could they fare better next season?
Just makes you think when Fortunes coming on three years on from his legs going we ain’t exactly playing top sides!

Why? I believe cook will not change his ethos/way of playing, unlike caldwell. And, i also believe that cook will maintain the team spirit within the squad, again unlike caldwell. I personally detect a lot of jewellisms in cook.

That side should never have gone down and cooky has got spirits up, he’s got a style of play which every player knows what his job is. That’s why I think we’ll be ok next season
