Just brought him in so a bit of company for Grigg, maybe….
He’s been loaned out a fair bit in his career let’s hope league 1 suits him.
12 January 2018 at 10:26 pm #165002League one deffo suits him he scored 24 goals last season for Bury.

Interesting that there is no “the club wish him well for the future” comment. The guy was cack from day 1, egotistical and alienated the fans with his ear-cupping after scoring for the first time in a dozen games at Burton. I say “scoring” – actually the ball hit him about a yard from goal and went in.
He may be a bit of use this season off the bench, but will be out of his depth again next season.

Well you lot bought him for The Championship. You must have seen something in him. Anyway your shut now and hopefully he shapes up better when he comes on as sub than Ivan The Terrible. Certainly can’t be worse.
13 January 2018 at 1:11 am #165008Like one or two of our other goal scorers he has had a bad leg injury …..a minnow called Ben jumps to mind. That, I think, bodes well.
13 January 2018 at 1:47 am #165010Looking at his history, comes across as a bit of a journeyman who has never settled at a club properly.
Not sure I’d have gone for him, personally, but that’s just my opinion. Hope he proves me wrong.
13 January 2018 at 2:22 am #165011Let’s give the lad a chance.
Can’t be any worse than the “so called strikers” that we have had in the last 4 or 5 seasons. If he is shite, then we just add him to the long list; if he is the dogs bollocks, then we add him to the legends list with Johnny Rogers, Andy Lidell, Duke, Jason Roberts, Super Stu Barlow !

The amount of clubs he’s had doesn’t look good and it makes you wonder about his attitude.. remember Jewell signing Roberts and thinking he’s taken a risk buying him as he’d had his troubles at other clubs but that turned out well. Maybe cook could have bagged himself good one.
As jr said, he bagged a few in this league last season so fingers crossed…
13 January 2018 at 3:53 am #165018Not much of a gamble really. It’s not like he’ll be a regular starter. He is here to bench warm. Who knows he could make an impact every odd game for ten minutes or so.

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/vaughan.1383017/ – Thread started based on his “effort” in the pre-season games.
After a month of league games where he got no better and spent most of his time on his arse – https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/vaughan.1390388/
13 January 2018 at 1:57 pm #165024Doesn’t really matter now Mutty. For you you’ve got shut of him. It didn’t work and STAFF move on. We have him now hopefully coming off the bench he may make an impact. Championship may be a level too high for him but it will be for many of our squad.
Maybe you should have kept him for league one next season or are you going to make a pre season swoop for Toney and Sarkic to help with next season’s promotion push.13 January 2018 at 3:11 pm #165025Doesn’t really matter now Mutty. Shame on you Ali you forgot 2 of the greatest, Peter Houghton and the legendary Michael J Quinn.
