Bradford really is a big must win.Looking at Bradfords recent slump 2pts out of a possible 24 in last 8 games, but if they can get pts out of their games in hand they can claw their way back into the play off spots and what a springboard stuffing us could be. Cook really must set us up to go at them from the off ,get their fans on their backs and continue their slump. The Saints game is feeling less important by the day.Win Wednesday ,keep pressure on the other 2 who WILL drop points in their last games(not according to my Rovers work mates ) .Lose and I could see Rovers running away with the title and us scrapping it out with Shrewsbury. It really is 1 game at a time and this is a real season turning point one.

All big games between now and the end of the season.

Lose and I can see Rovers with the incentive to blitz Gillingham whilst we’ve no game.So I think it is a pivotal game.

And yet the league title would still be in our hands

In the league Cook hasn’t shown evidence he can get his team to perform to their full potential for these “huge games”. The story of the season is a failure to beat direct rivals in what would be considered 50/50 matches…..home or away. I don’t put that down to the quality of the opposition as the play-off places have been fluid. The only common factor is when we come up against a team in the play-off mix, the latest being Scunthorpe, we struggle. It can only be a psychological issue, a fear factor. Post Christmas our best win was undoubtedly Plymouth away. But even then we were on the back foot, never threatening to impose our self.

In the run-in every game is “huge”, so you worry how we’ll approach these fixtures. One thing I’ve stopped expecting is Blackburn and Shrewsbury to drop points……whenever the pressure has been ratcheted up, they’ve delivered. It wouldn’t surprise me if both achieve 100pts+.
