2 points per game average is normally promotion form. We’ve been averaging about 2.3 points per game.
Overall, 16 points from 8 would be great, the secret now is that we can’t afford another off day like we had at Southend. No daft losses over these last 12 games. Need 8 wins, I reckon.
Shrews fans bemoaning fact that their best 2 players went off tonight. One missing 3 games for a straight red the other injured.
Good couple of away games for Shrewsbury as far as points go, they’ve just done it the “wrong” way round, thought they’d get a point at Scunthorpe and win tonight. Their captain being out for 3 games (inc the 2 Easter ones) might be a big blow, but we’ll need to see.
Big chance for us tomorrow to put the pressure on, a win is not vital as its still in our own hands, but real opportunity tomorrow. As for the league, I can see the title race going to the last day, just have a feeling that one of the 3 might drop out of the auto spots with 2/3 games to go. Not sure anyone could cope with a 3 team race on last day.
FFS. Another late winner for the shrews on the cards.They nearly did, Omar Beckles headed against the bar on 87 minutes for Shrewsbury.
It is all in our hands and a three wins on the bounce now will be just the boost we need. If Shrews and Blackburn cock up along the way then that’s a bonus.l
