Christopher Park will be frozen. its the only ideal place really as the surfaces at soccerdome are plastic(ish)
Shipping them out inbetween games to warmer climes isn’t really feasible everyweekJust my view tho

8 January 2010 at 5:11 pm #17578If our winter sports pitch was rested and allowed to grow and recover like normal pitches at this level we would have no problem playing matches on it and also having the occasional training sessions on the pitch. However we are in this unfortunate situation of having a sitting tennant in the summer months unlike other clubs who play at this level.

Anyway I wouldn’t worry about it. Wigan Athletic won’t be “at this level” much longer and will be in the same situation as Reading, Huddersfield, Watford, Bristol and Stockport. In fact within ten years there is every chance that Wigan council will own the stadium.
