Those were exciting days.
We used to be knackered, just watching the exciting games.
That little avatar sums it up for me. You can see the passion in the faces of Jimmy & Big Lee.What the flook, has happened to football ???????
24 February 2019 at 2:02 am #176594Totally agree, it’s like watching players playing for a wage pack only, no passion.
I think the next time you’ll see that kind of avatar passion is when the youth players come through and playing for us makes them proud to wear the shirt.24 February 2019 at 7:24 am #176608Bullshit.
Reece James ran to WS2 when we scored, Kal Naismith ran to the halfway line to grab the ball that their keeper belted upfield and Sam Morsy prayed on the pitch.
No passion there at all.

2 players who were so passionate about the club that they both engineered moves away once we’d made the famous.
Don’t allow time to affect your judgement. They were no different to any other professional footballers.
24 February 2019 at 1:28 pm #176614To be fair, we had our moneys worth out of both players.
Bullards transfer was a bit more than him engineering a move away from the club. It was more the manager wanting to ship him out for reasons known by the club, and only a few supporters. The excuse that he wanted to move back south to be near his family was given, but as he then moved back to Hull after Fulham, that shows it wasn’t the case. I’m not going to go into it, its old ground now. If you know, you know.
24 February 2019 at 4:44 pm #176623I think Lostock Hall Latic is alluding towards the football played in those days. Much better and far easier on the eye than this horrible stuff we dish out nowadays.
24 February 2019 at 7:11 pm #176624I don’t think they played with any more passion. They were just better players who achieved more. As someone alluded to earlier the celebrations when we scored didn’t indicate a lack of passion.

“When we played 442”
24 February 2019 at 9:35 pm #176626You mentioned it.
