What would be the best result for the Tics ?
Dons have to win, because they have two tough games to finish; and three straight losses could send them packing !
Dale have three easier games, but still have to win all three (assuming Latics get three points from six).
So, is it: a Dons win, a Dale win, or a draw ?
Hopefully, our summer break will be a little more relaxed than last year
25 April 2021 at 9:26 am #192401Wimbledon win without a shadow of a doubt. It means there is a 4pt cushion to 21st place with 2 to play and it also guarantees that its in your own hands come the last game of the season.
Whether Wigan finish 20th or 19th is irrelevent. The only thing that matters now is not finishing 21st.
25 April 2021 at 10:06 am #192402Got to be a Wimbledon win or at worst a draw. A Rochdale win would be the worst possible outcome for us looking at ‘Dales run in.

What does it matter to you Judas? Do us a favour and fuck off to a mackem board and discuss where their bottles gone
25 April 2021 at 3:13 pm #192405Wimbledon win. Its an absolute no brainer.
25 April 2021 at 8:13 pm #192406Why does everybody think Dale have an easy run in MK still have a chance of the playoffs albeit a small chance but they will be going all out to beat Dale who could just as easily lose at Wombles and MK
I still prefer our position25 April 2021 at 9:17 pm #192408Why does everybody think Dale have an easy run in MK still have a chance of the playoffs albeit a small chance but they will be going all out to beat Dale who could just as easily lose at Wombles and MK
I still prefer our positionIt would take three of Charlton, Portsmouth, Oxford & Blackpool to not win any of their games for MK Dons to get into the playoffs. I agree that if they have a sniff of 6th come 8 May then it becomes a difficult game, but I cant see those 4 losing all their games before the last day of the season.
All you can ask for is to have it in your own hands and be at home on the final day to the shittest side in the league who are in complete dissary. Before Scab says it, you dont get to play Sunderland three times!
26 April 2021 at 8:12 am #192418A Don’s draw would put them 99.9% safe that’s unless they lost their last 2 and Northampton win their last 2 with a 9 goal swing.
Wimbledon had scored 14 goals in 4 before Saturdays 0-0 away at Ipswich.
Looking at who scored for them while on that run the goals are spread throughout the team which is what you want.
I’ll take Wimbledon to comfortably put relegation fears firmly to bed with a comfortable win against Rochdale.
They wouldn’t want Pompey to slip up the same night then Pompey then needing a result against Wimbledon to keep in a Play-off place.
Wimbledon 11/10 to beat Rochdale, stick your Covid savings on it27 April 2021 at 5:28 pm #192422Tonight is the most important game of our season so far. The fact that we’re not even playing tells you everything about this season
A Wimbledon win or a draw will do nicely. Leaves us 5 or 4 points clear of the drop so 1 win = guaranteed safety.
Rochdale win and it’s back in the melting pot. We might have to win both our last games to stay up. Don’t fancy our chances at Hull.Ok I’ll stick my neck out what I reckon. Rochdale don’t win tonight we stay up
Rochdale win tonight we’ll go down
Very pleased to be proved wrong on the 2nd point of course!!27 April 2021 at 9:01 pm #192423Get in! What a 98th minute equaliser
27 April 2021 at 9:02 pm #192424Dons grab equaliser with last kick of the game.
Means it will go to last day at worst.. see us beating Hull lolFA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
27 April 2021 at 9:08 pm #192428Wimbledon had enough chances, thought they’d blown it with the penalty miss.
28 April 2021 at 6:22 am #192437Absolutely love Wimbledon , looked very bleak at times tonight then an incredible late goal in the now standard 100 minutes of play !
A less nervy side could go to Hull and grab a typical Latics result.
The greatest ever escape of it comes off28 April 2021 at 9:28 am #192439That was as big a goal for them as it was us.
Games against Pompey and Lincoln to come they beeded the result.
Northampton to fall on Saturday. Rochdale to het the win against Doncaster but I don’t think it will matter as we will beat Swindon.
Hoping either Donny can do us a favour or we can go to Hull and get something and settle the nerves.
28 April 2021 at 10:36 am #192440Bit worried about that Swindon game ,you get some weird results at this time of the season. Just imagine the tension if its nil nil going into the second half knowing we need a win to stay up. I really hope we can get something from the Hull game to calm the nerves a bit.
