What are the expectations for next season ? I personally would be happy with a mid to top half of the table ,looking to push on the following season, although knowing Latics we just don’t have seasons like that .
2 May 2021 at 4:28 pm #192520Agree. We need to build a new club basically and that will take time.
You wouldn’t put it past us smashing it though would you?

Dont you know pump it up, the tics are going up!
Fuck the EFL
7 May 2021 at 8:36 pm #192609Admire the enthusiasm from the new Chairman but I think he needs to have more of a low key approach.Seem to remember a very young David Sharpe saying we were going to ‘smash’ this league. All it does is wind the opposition up.Having said that we did in fact ‘smash’ the league ,maybe he is right after all.

8 May 2021 at 7:43 pm #192614I’m looking forward to welcoming Windarse and Dunkley to L1 football – unless of course they find another relegation-bound Championship club to massage their ego for a further 12 months.
9 May 2021 at 8:44 am #192615I think its going to be super tough next season. The only way we’re going to get back to the Championship is by new owners backing the manager with a decent budget.
We will have a possible Sunderland, Portsmouth, Sheff Weds, Ipswich, even a resurgent Wycombe then there’s the scum from up the road getting promotion.
I’m sure a few of our current players will already have offers on the table from other clubs, far better wages than they are currently on at Latics, these need to be improved if we are to keep hold of them.
Let’s not forget, we have a massive rebuilding job ahead which includes behind he scenes which is just as important from ground staff to caterers to office staff.
9 May 2021 at 10:51 am #192616For me mid table and avoiding a relegation dog fight would be great, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Leam upsets the “massive” clubs with a tilt at the playoffs.
9 May 2021 at 3:54 pm #192617Depending on who we sign & who stays, I’ll settle for a top half finish.

To get that Richardson must sort out his game management, today was a bloody shambles last 20 minutes or so!
Fuck the EFL
