And they’re advertising next Tuesday night tickets…

      “Adults from £26…”

Are the club deluded? That’s a lot of money for a Tuesday night game. An average game really, no disrespect to Huddersfield.
How many are going to fork out that money for a ticket? I already think it’ll be a low turnout. They’ll still include the ST who won’t be there (3 from us alone). There are quite a few ST holders staying away at the moment.
But charging £26 for someone to just decide to go to the match…its not going to attract many.

Maybe it’ll be when the ST sales are drastically down in the summer they’ll realise how many people have dropped off.

I’ll keep saying it, the only thing you can instantly change overnight and stand a chance of an improvement and reaction is

        *The manager*

I’m sorry but you can blame the players for not been good enough but the vast majority of the league clubs in L1 are in the same boat they ain’t littered with future Prem players it’s the way their used that’s the issue.

For me it’s the chopping and changing and the 5 subs. We never start the same 11 never and the tippy tappy build up especially at home.

He changes things when things are looking ok mid game probably due to looking at the fookin iPad stats rather than the player.

Sub board goes up, 2 to 3 players coming on and I’m sat there bewildered as to why. Honestly it’s just crazy utter madness management.

Would it be any different with a new manager ?, probably not but I know one thing, this ships sinking and the boat needs fixing.
Without a fast quick fix repair I honestly think we will go down. Am I doom and glooming it ?, no it’s say it as you see it

I think these next 3 games can make or break us.

I think if we get 4 points from them, we’ve not done too bad. But if we were to lose all 3, we could be in serious trouble, depending on others results as well.

I think it WOULD be different with a new manager – a breath of fresh air to be honest, for both players and fans alike. I’ve never known a manager look so inept at interviews – scratch head, scratch chin, erm, erm .. week after week after week – if he’s issuing his team talks the same way, the players will just be looking around at each other, wondering if anyone else understood what he was saying – and i think he needs to let the players loose each game – hardly any runners, movement off the ball – think of how many penalties we have had and how many offsides we have had – very very low, simply as we don’t have bodies in the box, and we don’t try through balls from our midfielders, where, I’m sure our “striker” would be putting them away..

I agree with all of that.

I don’t know why managers try and stick to a set style of play. Surely you need to be able to adapt to different opposition? You do what you need to do to win each game. Might not always be pretty, but you can’t always play like Brazil 70. Sometimes you might have to play like Wimbledon 88 or Stoke City 2010. In the future nobody will remember what style you had. But they’ll remember where you finished in the league table.

Maloney is over analysing the opposition, rather than concentrating on his own players and their strengths and weaknesses. There are players in the team who simply are not good enough. Who’s fault is that? The manager. It’s criminal we are so weak up front.

I can see us being dragged into the relegation battle with Burton, Cambridge and others likely to pick some points up. Is Maloney really playing for draws? Is that how bad we’ve got?

I would say we are already in the relegation mix looking at the table this morning.
Goal difference is maybe worth an extra point granted but there are some very tough fixtures coming up and maybe the reality of the situation needs to kick in around the club.
The intensity rapidly needs to be increased and they need to start going direct and get in teams faces.
Selling Thelo was a mistake in my opinion and if the worst happens the financial impact will cost the club far more than the fee they received.

Maloneys interviews makes me uncomfortable and I can only imagine the players will feel the same in any team meeting.
As for the point at Wycombe ?, yes it was a good point but that was awful to watch infact I had it on TV I turned it off on 60 I’d have enough.

With a bit of quality we could have nicked that and that’s the issue, when opposing top table sides are not at the races we cannot take advantage. i.e. Stockport Wycombe Crawley could have easily been 6+ points.

3 goals in our last 5 league games speaks volumes and slowly but surely we’re moving towards the drop zone with only 4 points separating us from the dreaded drop.

                  So let’s say we draw 3 lose 2 = 3 points

So it looks good on paper only lost 2 in our last 5

But let’s say we win 2 lose 3 ? Doesn’t look so good losing 3 but

                  We have 6 points

Draws are only ok if there’s a win either side. If you draw draw lose draw you will go down.

Mr Maloney needs to stop playing belt n braces let’s not lose football and he needs to start the team playing gun hoe brave risk taking football. This left to right back start again doesn’t work for us. He’s trying to draw opposition players out but they don’t bite and sit tight.

This Maloney’s side should have no excuses but the style he’s instilled into them beggars belief

                  We should be renamed to
                  Steady Eddy Athletic

Because he’s brought a style of football that no fan can stomach

He’s gotta go before all the fans do and L2 football comes to Wigan
