Might even renew my season ticket
29 March 2025 at 9:26 am #205444Settle down pal, your getting a manager rush, I won’t hold judgement till at least Christmas when he’s brought in a few of his own and he’s about 20+ games under his belt.
He talks well and he’s instantly bought into the ethos of the club like a duck to water but he did the same at Preston.
Like I say, I personally think he’s a good fit for the club. If he does struggle it won’t be his fault, it will be the lack of financial support.
Good luck Lowe were all behind you29 March 2025 at 9:58 am #205445Ryan Lowe is no mug if the ownership start playing funny buggers and breaking promises he’ll walk.
Fuck the EFL
29 March 2025 at 11:56 am #205446Okay, I’ll not get ahead of myself; but for once this season I am actually looking forward to going to the game today

Me too, I said that the other day on the Tics v Tykes thread, should be a much needed buzz around the place.
Fuck the EFL
30 March 2025 at 7:39 am #205459I thought against Barnsley there was much more intensity in our play, abit more urgency. I heard a few Cze haters already sharpening their hatchets which I find disgusting.
Cze reminds me so much of Lang we he first got into the side, too young too soon. The lads got an awful lot of growing and learning to do but personally I think he will turn out be a huge hit for us if given the minutes to grow.
Had Taylor squared a simple ball to him we could have possibly won that game so we need to be patient. But for me the key is our midfield, we’ve no ball player and it showed.
Norburn S.Smith and Darcy simply doesn’t work their all different but their all doing the same job. I’d lob Payne in 100%.
It’s simple to see, we’re like a HGV lorry, were governed. We had 4-5 players on the pitch yesterday who are playing at their highest possible level.
Now I’m not calling or slating that, that’s football. Footballs about levels and these players are at their maximum level wise and can’t kick on.I’m not sure Lowe can improve the quality of the individual player/s but effort wise on and off the ball we looked like we wanted it more and no one will be able to hide behind friendships like when Maloney was here as Lowe looks and sounds like a guy who won’t hold any punches.
Stroll on Tuesday, I just hope we can put a dagger into their promotion hopes. 1-0 will do but 4-0 would be nicer.
30 March 2025 at 8:40 am #205460Agree with you CW.
At least it felt like we’d been to a football match yesterday30 March 2025 at 10:20 am #205461Had a good view of the bench area yesterday and noticed his reaction when players were still messing about with sideways balls urging them to get the ball forwards.
More shots on goal and most certainly more excitement but a few players were going for glory themselves near goal rather than playing the simple pass.
Agree Chris Sze could turn out to be a great striker , he seems to position himself well on the six yard box.
Would have Hump back in a heartbeat though from what I saw when he came on.30 March 2025 at 12:49 pm #205463Cze?, I think he has it in his locker to become a v.g. forward. He’s only 21 and yeah he did get bussled around by the defenders but he’s not filled out yet between 21 and 25 his body shape will change, remember Lang ?.
But for me hitting it long to Cze as a hold up man? Jesus wept, that’s 1million percent NOT his game.
I had one guy up the top from me shouting ffs be stronger Cze!! When Cze went upsides for a ball with an experienced defender.Christ I’m thinking cut him some slack. He’d prefer it passed to his left or right something to run on to.
Cze’s game is for me has 2 components
Playing off the shoulder of the last man and getting into the box at just the right time.
To me he looks like he has that natural ability to do both and never rushes or panic’s.What he needs is, a midfielder who can find him and Taylor to play second fiddle because Taylor isn’t a true goal scoring forward.
I personally think we’ve a rough cut diamond who with time will score us goals for fun in L1 then move on for big bucks.
Once he fills out over the next 12-18months then he’ll cause defenders no end of problems
1 April 2025 at 10:30 pm #205495Lowe out
Hoof ball at its very worst
Once again you have all got your wishes with the sacking so i hope you enjoy it
3 games he’s had and I’ve seen about 15 mins that was good on Saturday which had everyone creaming their pants
2 home games in which I’m sure we have had one attempt on goal in the 2nd halves and that was a shocking mistake by the keeper
Maloney deserves to be pissing himself (he won’t be because he actually cares)
Lowe out
1 April 2025 at 10:50 pm #205496Maloney, Rioch and whoever else have left us with the worst, toothless, goaless squad in my 50 years.Bolton as poor a team I’ve seen this season and we created absolutely f%%% all. If Rioch was instrumental in these signings then he needs the door holding ajar and booting through it.Dale,Mellish,Rankine, Sibbick,Asamoah,Silko(Gone),Goodwin,Norbury,Weir,Hungbo…..not a goal in this team .Taylor apart the squad is a shambles. Lowe has mammoth task and a huge(Unlikely) clear out needed. Tonight made my mind up ….2 Season tickets and 2 future funds on hold till I see whether Lowe is being backed by the owner…f### the early bird offers as I’m not willing to watch this excuse for football. Bolton there for the taking but our useless, strikerless team is hopeless. For the “we are safe” supporters ….the gap to 4th bottom is now 5pts as Burton can actually score goals.6 wins in 20 home games!!! .Come on….don’t blame Lowe !!!…..Blame previous management and the joke of a recruitment team. Danson !!!.. This is the end result of a sustainability offensive implemented far too quickly. F …… pitiful!!!!
1 April 2025 at 11:02 pm #205497The week before he was sacked he took 4 points off 2nd (away) and 5th. He also beat Bolton 3 from 3 without conceding a goal.
He’s also been forced to lose Hughes, Thelo, Jones, Humphrys, Keane, Whatmough to name but a few.
Sessegnon, Chambers, Smith, Francois injured most of the season
You wanted Leam sacked, you got a clown
You wanted Maloney sacked, you can now enjoy hoofball again which is why you wanted Leam sacked
1 April 2025 at 11:17 pm #205498Maloney recruitment was dire…..not 1 recognised striker….Well sicknote Goodwin apart but managed to sneak yet another useless winger in on deadline day. Lowe left now to polish the inherited turd…..Maloney signed these….lowest scorers in a bang average league and Lowe now having to try Asamoah as a forward. Screaming out for a target man but he offloaded the only 1 we had . Francois.??…Another sick bed player…managed 50 games in 4 seasons…..just what we need!!. Lowe has surely been given assurances regarding recruitment because we need to move at least 7 players to pastures new. Would you really have trusted Maloney/Rioch with any more funds..???…Not a chance. Lowe flogging a dead horse and relegation however unlikely imo would be because of the previous management’s f### ups than his.
2 April 2025 at 7:16 am #205502Toothless punchless display ,more or less zero threat in the most important part of the pitch.
Seemed scared to take a shot or even attempt to get near the goal
Bolton should have had the game buried with the opportunities that fell their way prior to the scruffy goal they scored.
I sensed a hint of worry in the post match interview without mentioning the dreaded R word.
Make no mistake that is a real possibility after that toothless performance and they need to realise that and very quickly.
Worrying times.2 April 2025 at 7:54 am #205503That, last night, really highlighted just how bad we are as a squad. It’s arguably the worst squad I’ve seen in 40 years as a supporter. There are players in it who simply aren’t good enough, and it’s not just one or two.
Make no mistake, we are in serious trouble here, and in real danger of slipping down to Lg2. I’d targeted 4 points from these last two home games. We got 1. My thought was that we’re going into 2 tough away games now where we might not get anything. And then I look at our remaining games:
Leyton Orient A
Exeter City A
Wrexham H
Rotherham H
Blackpool H
Burton A
Northampton ALooking at those games, I can’t see us picking many points up. We may end up reliant on other teams not picking points up. I can see home capitulation against Wrexham and Blackpool. This squad will crumble under the pressure of a sold out away end.
The squad? Awful. That goal we conceded at the death last night. I’ve watched it back and I still cannot fathom the defending. How many of our players were slicing away at the ball? An horrendous miskick from Kerr, and what Tickle was doing crawling around on his knees, I’ve no idea. I’m in the way of thought that James Carragher is good and eventually someone will come in for him. But the rest of the squad…Tickle will go in the summer, are not good enough. Any of them. For me, they can all go. Lowe has a massive job sorting this crap out. And then again he’s not helped himself by getting sent off last night. Can we just end the season now please? They’d better back him in the summer because our doing things on the cheap way has really backfired this season. We went too cheap, have recruited some absolute crap, and could end up relegated.
Apart from Carragher, and Tickle, there’s no other player really who I’d be arsed if they left. Matt Smith is good on his day, but picks up injuries a bit too much.
And the loan players are absolute crap as well.Enough now.
