If you ever a game highlighted the need to ditch this outdated , pointless and meaningless cup competion then this was the one that did.Burton and Port Vale had less than 1000 on , Accrington Stanley a mere 418 against Leeds which probably meant they lost money staging the game.
It’s now becoming a liability in my view and serves no purpose , weakened to nothing more than an A team game we used to see in the past.
