Valuable 3 points ……Exeter manager must have been livid with their defending for 1st goal, but a great cross and easy header for Taylor. Very comfortable but dropped too deep again in the 2nd half…..conceded possession but fortunately they didn’t make it count. They’re in free fall and to be fair they looked like relegation fodder. Thought Weir had another good game as did Chapman and Murray.  Just have to keep clocking the points up……onto Reading….very difficult game . They pushing for a play offs spot so need to be at our best to get anything……be happy with a draw ……need to avoid a Barnsley and Exeter 2nd half performance……cannot sit deep away here and expect a positive result.

Agreed, they did what was necessary and got the 3 points. Reading will be hard, but we are quite capable, and there is a confidence starting in the squad too. It won’t define our season, but a draw would on paper be a good result.

We need to look at the 5 teams we play around us to get the points we need, eight games to go.

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Keep playing like that on Saturday and there is no need to worry about relegation.

Loving the more direct style of play under Caldwell and its working wonders at the moment with the players he has inherited.

Hard to believe its the same bunch that were trounced at Peterborough just a few weeks back.

It’s all about man management, at this stage of the season there is sod all really you can do bar motivate and put some belief into the players and give them some self belief and confidence.

Since Caldwell’s arrival Murray has started attacking defenders and I think if he carries on he could break the clubs record for assists in a season.

            But…..

It’s not over far from it, one poor result and a good result for others stuffs you right back in the relegation mix.

Reading will be a tough day out for us. Reading are very hit & miss but there’s a gang of them I’d say 8 clubs all fighting for a play-off spot.

I reckon 8-10 points from a possible 24 remaining should comfortably see us safe.

As for Taylor signing for us ? We’ve more chance of Taylor Swift signing. We’ve an owner who makes cramp look like jelly trifle

Taylor’s impact reminds me of David Shearer from early 1980s.

9 goals in 11 whilst on loan from Middlesborough.

Rumours that  Preston and Oxford are plotting to sign him this summer.

He’s on a reputed 10k a week at Huddersfield. I’m not sure what we are currently paying him, 50% ? 75%?, I know one thing he won’t be coming here.

His loan has served it’s purpose for both us and Huddersfield. Hopefully goals will keep us up and his stock value will have gone up if anything benefiting Huddersfield if they decide to sell.

My only niggle is, he’s fitted in at Wigan like a glove and the quick released ball up to him near the half way line and a massive upturn in Murrays form has helped him to 9 in 12.

Sometimes players don’t click at a club whether it be a manager preferring different tactics say passing it out from the back or they prefer it played through the middle.

I’m not so sure he will be as effective elsewhere. I’m not saying he’s not talented far from it but forwards especially have their own way of going about it.

He’s good but is he £3-£4million £10k+ a week ?, to the right club yes

To us most definitely not and it’s a shame because he comes across as a sound guy, bit er wit and nothing fazes him plus he’s an engine and a half,

All’s I can say is, he’s a few years too late. Had he been here when we were struggling things will be oh so different at the club.

I just hope we can pin a few down with new contracts but my gut feeling says lots will leave as Danson tightens the screw even more.

More loans, more free’s and what bit of quality will be gone. The four I think will be gone are

                Kerr

                Bettoni

                Tickle

                Mellish
