So Caldwell seems to think Simms will benefit from playing at Marine till Jan.
So that’s both our best goal scoring prospects sent on loan while we can’t buy a f**kin goal
Now we are left with Saydee, Costelloe, Perkins & Hogan all who couldn’t score in Amsterdam.
This club is a screwed, rotten to the core. You’d think the Bettoni situation might ring a reminder bell as to what these lads will do if not given a chance.
Moseley is out of contract in the summer he’ll be 22. Do you think he’ll wait another 12 month in L2?.
The club’s pathetic with a manager who will take us down. He reckons Simms will be ready in Jan.
Bollocks, that’s not the reason, the reason is:-
Saydee is back, Hogan is here till Jan and he’s just signed Perkins so Caldwell has to justify to our Scrooge of an owner their wages.
Can you imagine it, he puts Simms in and he starts scoring while Hogan and Perkins play a subs role ?.
What would Danson make of the wage wastage?.
This sends out the wrong message to all those young lads, do all you can you won’t get played
Caldwell justifying wages will send us down mark my words. We hit lucky last season with Taylor but if you can’t afford Will Keane for 12months that will not happen again.
Never in all my years have a felt there’s no hope not a glimmer but the Caldwell & Danson combo this season and the squad we’ve got I’ll be utterly shocked if we’re not 8 to 10 adrift at the beginning of Jan

15 October 2026 at 5:13 pm #207927Nail on the head CW, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Cladwell is just a nodding dog a yes man for the Danson clan, he’s here for a wage and to look after his mate David Perkins, if he keeps his gob shut he’ll keep his job unlike Lowey that had the balls to challenge these gobshites running the fuckin’ shit show!
Lets face it who the hell is going to offer Cladwell a job after this? He’s clinging on to his job and he knows it, I bet him and Perks are kicking themselves on leaving Exeter if truth be known!

Fuck the EFL
16 October 2026 at 11:56 am #207929If our best prospect is being loaned out to Marine, then it says a lot about the youth development over the post-covid years. Hughes and Asgaard provided a good return for the investment. Tickle to a lesser extent. But where are the next generation of EFL standard players?
