Lazy scrote probably can’t be bothered to drive down the M6 and would prefer to stay playing in the Stiffs.
10 February 2010 at 6:58 pm #22316Dont sell Koumas, He is better than a lot of players we have. Sorry Griff I know you dislike him, but he has got something somewhere! Just needs to prove it.

I think he too could have been a great player, it’s just that each time he gets an opportunity he acts as if he couldn’t give a toss.

True, I just wish he’d get another chance and prove it this time, and if WBA are coming in for a loan, maybe he might think, that this may be his last shot in the prem, just know somewhere he could be a top player for us.
10 February 2010 at 7:33 pm #22328Too late for me, he’s had plenty opportunities. I’d love him to do it too, for the club’s sake, not his though.
At a reported £30k-odd per week, he is helping to bleed the club dry.
Get rid as soon as, for my money.
And here’s a real strait-jacket moment: I’d rather have Gomez
10 February 2010 at 7:40 pm #22331Sorry James but he’s had more than enough chances. I like you, think he is talented, but we can’t afford to have prima donnas in our squad who are sitting on the bench and just happy to pick up their fat pay packets every week.
There is definitely an attitude problem there. Didn’t Bob say he was a Welsh Pele or something at the start of the season? If Bob can’t get on with him, there’s clearly something wrong there.
He has seriously underperformed for us, but perhaps like Gomez the Premiership is a step too far – too quick and too physical.

But to be fair Pele will be 70 this year ;)
10 February 2010 at 9:25 pm #22358I think if Koumas was given first team action every week and proved that he wanted it, we would see a completely different player. Who can blame him for not looking interested? After his brilliant performance on the opening day he was dropped soon after!!

Most folk in wigan only earn £30k every two years not one week…….
11 February 2010 at 2:25 pm #22408And your point it? If you hate the fact that players get paid so mouch in football, stop perpetuating the problem by following the sport.
11 February 2010 at 10:48 pm #22463Bought as a goal scoring midfielder for 5.3 million. 54 games 2 goals
played under 3 managers who have all lost faith in him. Persistently failed to appear at training FOR HIS COUNTRY, despite being reprieved by welsh manager Toshack and continuing to play for them, retired from international football at the grand old age of 30.If you can’t be arsed breaking sweat for your club in the premiership, where else in the world can you be bothered playing see ditto Kapo. It is not an unjust expectation of the club to expect some value for money for a player earning 30 grand a week. Maybe he had some talent when he first came here, but any player with an ounce of pride would have been begging the managers to play him, or demanding a transfer. Will probably end up leaving the club for a nominal fee, or worse still will wait until his contract expires and leave on a free.
