The idea of a play off for the fourth Champions league ( stupid name to start with ) place as been thrown out.
This league is a yawn a minute. The most predictable and bore of a league ever imaginable.
What it could do with ,and football in general is one big shake up.
The cups are now treated in total disrespect and are notjing more than practice matches for players who should be playing regular football in reserve matches rather than picking up a fortune for just training two or three times a week.
We could liven things up good and proper quite simply and force clubs to give us the fans the competitions we deserve.
Just a few simple steps would soon wake up the powers that be.
1 Champions only automaticly qualify for champions league.
2 FA cup and league cup winners automatically qualify too.
3 2nd and 3rd in league play off with cup runners up for fourth place in champions league.
Slightly radical but we need something to make things interesting rather than just playing to survive.
Never ever been so bored with football now than in all the many many years supporting and watching Latics.
