Latics had a very successful year in 1985, with us winning the Freight Rover Trophy as well as a good finish in the League.
Our opponents on the 8th April 1985 were to get relegated though, and our 2-0 win at Sprinfield Park helped with that fate.
David Lowe and Paul Jewel were on the scoresheet as Latics cruised past Burnley.
