I’m not anti Martinez, I’m saying he’s not got a clue !!
Top bloke, decent on his last spell at Latics, but thats it.
Tactically not good enough, same as a few of his signings.

I retract my statement you are clearly not anti_Martinez
Their last goal came about because some of our players were knackered. Subs should have been on 20 mins before the end. I was watching NZogbia and he started drifting inside to avoid having to make the runs on the wing. Didn’t track back, Melchiot got caught in two minds (close down Parker or keep on the outside man) and that gave Parker an age to take that shot. Not blaming NZogbia, manager should have made the subs sooner.
Agree about Gohouri. Played well and didn’t deserve to be dropped today.
Martinez is still learning and I have confidence in him.
He’s a poor defensive manager, especially compared to Bruce. We need a good centre back alongside Titus. Titus is very good at blocking shots, etc we have no leadership. We need a smart centre back with leadership skill.
For all the Martinez bashers we are playing much better football now and its not all bad.
Gohouri was at fault for Arsenal’s second goal and when you best XI is available you go with it, all the top managers would do the same. Caldwell has been good for us since he arrived, bad game at Bolton and for me, another bad game yesterday BUT Parker still had a lot to do from that distance, 9 times out of 10 they will fly wide or over but on this occasion it was a fantastic strike so, you have to give credit to the goalscorer although I agree, it could have been prevented.
Martinez is the man to take us forward, people who can’t see what he’s trying to do at Wigan are blind. We are playing attractive football and in time, with a bit of patience we’ll see the benefits.
We weren’t bad yesterday, they scored 3 goals out of the 4 or 5 chances they had all game. We scored 2, hit the bar and missed a couple of chances we could have taken. It was one of those games but, at the end of the day losing at West Ham yesterday secured our survival with 2 games left, not bad for a rookie manager in his first ever premiership season with a club who is always tipped to go down.
What annoyed me was the fact that we conceded another goal from a free kick, because kirkland was too far over to one side of the goal. I wouldn’t blame him though, Stojkovic and Pollitt have both done the same this season. I blame the Mido lookalike goalkeeping coach who looks like he needs to lose a few pounds.
Bruce signed McCarthy didn’t he? At ground other match I was thinking that Martinez did, but I was assured by somebody that Bruce was indeed the one that signed him….?

No. Martinez was the manager when McCarthy signed for Latics.
