      In our five seasons in the prem we have only had 1 meaningless game on the last day

      1st season Arsenal away last game at Highbury
      2nd Sheff utd away
      3rd Utd at home for title
      4th Portsmouth
      5th Chelsea away title

      Not bad!!!

        So which one is it then ? Because I seem to remember Portsmouth stayed up as a result of them beating us ! Or maybe that was another year ????

          That was the game before the Highbury game on the final day if i remember rightly.

            You got me thinking there Fil because I too thought that when Pompey beat us to stay up ,that it was on the last match of the season.

            However after looking at JayT’s excellent stats link , the week after Pompey we played the last match at Highbury. :geek:
