Why we need Blackpool and Ian Holloway in the Premiership.

Makes Dave Whelan sound like Bamber Gascoigne :D
22 May 2010 at 1:07 am #34387Holloway would be great in the Prem…he’s absolutely barking!
Quite simply we need Blackpool in the Prem cos Cardiff’s the alternative
22 May 2010 at 1:10 am #34389I still bore people to death (and you are all now included) in the fact that one famous night at Springy against Bristol Rovers my job after the match was to physically stop Ian Holloway getting into Kevin Lynch’s room by standing in his way.
An interesting evening. :D

I take it that was the Graeme Jones affair ?
22 May 2010 at 1:17 am #34393Blackpool for me….one of the best away days in the league
22 May 2010 at 1:23 am #34395I take it that was the Graeme Jones affair ?Graeme Jones and four of theirs sent off.
Holloway kept shouting at his players to get another one sent off so the game would have to be abandoned. In fact as player-manager he came on at the end. And Lynch refused to send anyone else off, no matter what they did.
If Carlsberg made referees…..

that night was mad never seen a match like it since if i remeber correctly we edged the game in the end
22 May 2010 at 1:29 am #34397It actually ended 3-0 but they were hard to break down because of course they just put everyone in defence.

maybe so but i can guess the lazy journo headlines,if they make it and i hope they do,great away days, they will obviously have 1st season syndrome and sell out the majority of home games, and like our 1st season will continue to take good away followings.
“blackpool sell out whilst neighbours Wigan get 17000 bla bla bla” regardless of the capacity.
