      England have not knocked a big team out of the the world cup since 1966 when we won it. it as become a aqulies heel and the stats are very depressing

      1970. beaten by west Germany
      1982. drew with west Germany and Spain in 3 team 2nd round group
      1986 beaten by Argentina
      1990 beaten by west Germany
      1998 beaten by Argentina
      2002 beaten by Brazil
      2006 beaten by Portugal
      2010 ?

      it’s the same in the European championships as well.
      I really hope we buck this trend but i’m not holding my breath as every time we come up against a fancied team we get beat :cry:

            Anyone know out about drinking holes in Burscough?.
            Our gang for some reason have decided to jump on a train to Burscough next Saturday to watch the game. Apparently 2 or 3 good pubs within 100 yards of station.
