Anyone heard anything regarding if he is staying or not?
I would like him to sign for us if I’m honest. Showed glimpses of real quality and could prove to be a great signing.
Loads of ‘older more intelligent people’ say to me he’s useless. I think we should sign him but the fee has to be fairly low. He could be a replacement for Hugo in a 4-3-1-2 formation

Signing him on a 4 year deal would for me be a great thing to do so as he gets better, so will Wigan as a team.
His goalscoring record is to put it plain, very poor at the highest level. When he was playing for Cruzeiro a few years ago he couldn’t stop scoring. All we need to do is get him scoring against cup opponents & in pre season. After that he’s got more of an idea of what is needed of him to score in England.

It was £6m & that price must have gone down due to the lack of A goal in 12 appearances & Shakhtar Donetsk don’t seem to want him.We’ll see what happens in July

Don’t know about the price going down but hope we get him either way.

Why would a trial be any good.. He needs to play in the Prem, a few pre-season games won’t really determine anything. loan, as you said, would be great. The question is if they will be willing to loan him out again instead of just selling him elsewhere.

N’zogbia & Maynor can play LB.I don’t think Marcelo is even a Striker & currently our strike force is Hugo & Scotland. No cover there.
The 2 young polish lads have left (Cykwa to Derby & Kupisz is out of contract) so that makes us even weaker up-front.
Next season these could be our 4 strikers. Vela, Moreno, Botelli, Kupisz (if he stays)

N’zogbia cannot play LB very well as we have seen whilst playing for us and playing against us for Newc.
How can you say Marcelo Moreno isn’t even a striker, what other position could he POSSIBLY play?
Considering we play 4-5-1 we don’t need cover up front as much as we do at LB..
As for your last point, I don’t think Vela will come to wigan, hope he does!.. I think you mean ‘Boselli’ not ‘Botelli’..Also I don’t think Kupisz can be classed as cover.. he doesn’t even play.

I would want us to sign him as he did look like doing at some points. Especially when he did that great touch and left footed strike, albeit against portsmouth!
he is young and could be good in the future, even this season coming hopefully!
