Yet they lost against Serbia and looked ordinary for large parts of both games against us and the Argies. They certainly have the knack somehow

They work hard for each other and for the team….and are probably proud to play for their country. They don’t have many world beaters…but saying that, they probably wouldn’t consider themselves as world class….unlike our shower.
Anyway, why do people dislike the Germans?

Germany have the mental ability, they believe in themselves even when they have a bad team which i admire so much.
Also i think they have a good team.
Typical Germans, they are well organised and work hard for each other. Apart from *Schweinsteiger and Ozul, don’t really have any outstanding players but have the knack when it comes to the tournaments. Even Podolski and Klose who have done nothing for their clubs recently, have been superb. Only difference between this Germany and what we usually see is that this lot are worth watching when they turn it on.
Have to say the comment about being proud to play for their country made me laugh, Ozul’s Turkish and their squad has about 5 Poles in it.

I don’t see why people still have a problem with Germany. We’re not even rivals in terms of football – this is only one of the few times we’ve crossed them in the World Cup. I reckon they’ve only just remembered that we won the World Cup in 1966 after the similarities between the Lampard and Hurst “goals”.
They have a side that work for each other instead of for themselves, which can be best witnessed in their last goal the other day, and in fact any of their counter attacking breaks, to which even Neuer was surprised.
They also have the correct system in place for natural progression into the senior side from the youth teams. We have to take a good look at how they’re doing it and adopt it, if players like Oezil, Neuer, and Mueller are anything to go by, having been brought in to replace players like Adler and Ballack on short notice.
Also, Bastien Schweinsteiger’s girlfriend is stunning, surprised he’s playing so well with that kind of distraction! Unless she’s forbade him from the nookie unless he plays well :lol:
I dont think we have a problem with the Germans we probably envy their ability to succeed whereas we always fail miserably. I think we actually respect each other yes we joke and take the rip but theres no real malice meant. Same goes for the Argies as well we have a rivalry with them as well but we respect them also . ;)
The footy fans of England do have a problem with Germany ! Always have had. If I wore a Brazil shirt or Italian shirt no one would bat an eyelid but if I donned a German shirt I would get lynched !! Its the stigma attached due to WW1 and WW2 and people need to get over it !
