Is anybody else off here going to Gay Pride, this year?
I’ve just got my outfit sorted, a lovely pink shirt which will go a treat with my jeans.
It promises to be a really good event, and my partner and I are looking forward to it.
So is anybody else going?

Dave, I’ve been in the past with my wife (who is female, and has always been to my knowledge….hang on, two kids….yes, it’s been confirmed, definitely always been).
Very cosmopolitan, whilst amusing, and not once did anyone try to bum me.
Must ask…what’s the George Michael thing about?

Was just wondering as I was thinking of having Marc Almond as my avatar. He was always a bloke who enjoyed the odd pint, if folklore is to be believed.

Yes, he certainly had the stomach for protein, I believe

Simple, I’ve been listening to a lot of 80’s music, and I quite like Wham. Especially the song ‘Freedom’, that’s all.
No other reason.
27 July 2010 at 12:23 pm #41192Why would anybody who is not that way inclined, go to such an event?
I know its 2010 and all that but wtf?. Some of them are militant heterophobic bigots blowing whistles in the street. 6ft tall transsexuals with dresses on urgh! Those people are entitled to have their fun parade but for me it would be worse than going to a Warriors game.
Best to keep ‘Out of the road’.

8 August 2010 at 4:47 pm #41842Great day.
However the reason it was great was that we headed OUT of the tourist trap of the city centre, and went on a crawl of the historic pubs of Liverpool. Absolutely fantastic.
I could list the pubs we visited…..but no, I’ll keep them for myself!
We DID head into the centre at one point, and in fact, bumped into a group of Latics ‘faces’. Got talking to them, after they accidentally smashed a pint glass, which went on our feet. Fully aplogetic, though we weren’t bothered really. Turned out they were from Wigan, and then I suddenly recognised a couple of them, from off forums, and all that thing. I said “I know you” and then said their names. They were a bit shocked how I knew them. “I know everything” I joked.
I think one or two of them might come on here. ;) They said it was a ‘stag do’, but I was thinking it was a bit convenient for a group of blokes to be just around the corner from the ‘Gay Parade’, LOL! (I’m only kidding!)
We agreed that going off our first half showing the other night, we should be able to beat Blackpool convincingly. Let’s hope so.
PS Never really noticed any ‘definite’ gay blokes anywhere. But loads of Lesbians knocking about. Never seen as many checked shirts since the Waltons stopped being screened.
