If this isn’t a Banana skin waiting to happen i don’t know what is, with the ‘captain’ selection as well!!!!
Ferdinand is out injured so i dont see why the captains armband is going to make a reason for us losing. Terry was always gonna play if fit captain or not under the Italian clown. If we do not win this game it will be an embarrasment whoever skippers the side.
I was meaning that this game was a banan skin.
I was just passing a side comment at my dissapproval of the Captain choice, not trying to imply that it would have some bearing on the game
I don’t think the selection of the captain is a bad one (although there are certainly players in the squad who don’t like him for numerous reasons apparently) but the way Capello has handled it is absolutely shocking for a manager with his experience

john terry may have the morals of an alley cat – but to hold ferdinand up as some sort of victim in this is a little odd to say the least.
From my point of view, how Ferdinand feels about the decision does not matter one jot to me

The england team are a joke. Get rid of ferdinand, terry, lampard, a cole, rooney, gerrard. All these massive egos need to go. We have great youngsters coming thorough I say we just sack off all these megalomaniacs and get some players in who actually care about putting on the jersey.
