Hugo’s gonna be wantin to sign a new contract , if he is sidelined for a while coz no one will be interested in him now ! How things can change so quickly !

Confused me that one too. He has said on numerous occasions that he would move if a bigger team came in for him. That is 19 out of the 20 in the league. Letting him go for nothing when we could have cashed in and got a striker who is actually any good is bad business. Can’t see him signing a new deal. Think it’s all just hot air by the club because Martinez and Whelan buggered it up by not cashing in. Thought that was policy.

I don’t want to turn it into an argument i just think they dropped a couple of balls in dealing with his situation.

OK then, one of our more saleable players then, for the reasons you’ve just mentioned.It is entirely possible that no-one bid for him in August, though.
I’m not arguing either, by the way. Don’t do that any more. I have neither the time nor the inclination these days. ;)
